The Kingston Frontenac Public Library is offering a full week of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math activites for families to enjoy from March 10th to March 14th, 2025. Connections will be hosting two workshops during this series on Tuesday, March 11th, 2025.
For children ages 5 to 8, discover coding with BeeBots! This is a hands-on program for young children to enjoy technology and develop their problem-solving skills while guiding robots through a series of fun adventures.
For children ages 9 to 12, come and work with our team to build, program and tackle fun challenges with LEGO Spike Prime robots. Learn about engineering, block coding, and develop your problem-solving skills to solve real world problems.
From March 10th to 15th, 2025 the Lennox and Addington Museum is hosting a series of workshops for children of all ages. Join Connections for an exciting and free workshop on Wednesday, March 12th where you'll design and build your very own sustainable house using recyled materials. You will work through the Engineering Design Process, thinking creatively to include renewable energy, eco-friendly materials, and ideas to help the planet. As you plan, you'll also consider how your designs can make a positive impact on people and the environment. It's a hands-on, fun way to tackle real-world challenges while learning how to create a more sustainable future!
