Get a taste of engineering with Connections! Starting this year, we will be piloting a series of High School level workshops. Our high school workshops have been designed to provide students with a hands-on introduction to engineering across a variety subject areas – Business, Computers, History, Physics, Math and many more!
Connections staff will travel to High Schools within a one hour radius around the city of Kingston. We will bring all of the necessary equipment with us, and deliver a full day of workshops.

Frequently asked questions
A Connections staff member will reach out to confirm your booking. Once your booking has been confirmed, our staff will send you a catalogue of our available workshops, and a template that should be used to build the schedule for our visit.
Building the schedule is completely up to you as a school. Connections will visit for an entire school day and provide up to 300 minutes of instruction.
Our sessions are typically 75 minutes in length.
We ask that schedules are built so that there is at least a 10 minute break between sessions to allow our staff to complete any necessary takedown/set up.
You can expect to receive an electronic invoice from the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science after our workshops are completed. The invoice can be paid by cheque or credit card.
Yes! However, Connections staff reserve the right to cancel or alter bookings due to unsafe or inclement weather.
All bookings scheduled on snow days will be cancelled and rescheduled at the earliest availability.
It is ideal if our team can be set up in a learning commons, library or spare classroom as this will allow for the easiest transition between sessions. However, if this is not possible, we will travel to each classroom.
Connections will provide all necessary materials and technology. You do not need to have anything prepared unless otherwise specified.
