Queen's Summer Engineering Academy Junior and Intermediate

Do you know an aspiring engineering who is currently in grade 5 through 8? You can give them an introduction to the Queen’s Engineering experience with Connections: Queen’s Summer Engineering Academy (QSEA) Junior or QSEA Intermediate.

Registration for QSEA Jr. and QSEA Int. 2019 begins January 2, 2019

What is QSEA Jr. & QSEA Int.?

With both residence and day options available, the QSEA Jr. and QSEA Int. programs are an engineering-focused educational summer program for students currently in grade 5 and 6 or  grade 7 or 8 that exposes participants to engineering design, innovation, robotics, and makerspaces. The QSEA Jr. and Int. programs presents students with a broad engineering overview, using hands-on learning through thought-provoking projects to inform and engage students without being technically overwhelming. The team-based design projects involve collaboration, leadership, communication, creativity, and critical thinking.

The Academy runs in weekly July and August.  Programs run from Monday to Friday; 9:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Friday.

The cost of the program is $250 for students commuting to Queen’s campus which includes all course materials, QSEA t-shirt, and full-time supervision (lunch is not included). For students wishing to stay in residence the cost of the program is $1050, which includes on-campus accommodations, three meals/day, full-time supervision, and supervised evening activities.
