Connections Engineering Outreach and Queen’s Engineering are committed to breaking down barriers for female identifying and non-binary students in STEM. As part of this commitment, Connections Engineering Outreach has developed a series of programs to build confidence and ignite the imagination of young female identifying and non-binary students interested in STEM. We offer programming for female identifying and non-binary students in grades 1 through 11.

*We welcome all self-identifying female participants including cisgender, transgender and gender-diverse students in STEM.

What we offer:

  • On campus events for female identifying students to explore Queen's facilities and learn from female engineering faculty and students.
  • In school programs for female identifying students to participate in engineering workshops and build confidence and leadership skills for participants to carry into their futures.
  • Community partnerships with organizations, including Girl Guides and Girls Inc., to bring engineering opportunities to events in the Kingston community.

Do you have an All-Girls group interested in STEM?

If you have an opportunity for female youth and are interested in having Connections visit your group to offer a STEM workshop, please get in touch! We are always looking for new partnership opportunities in our community and would love to hear from you.
