2025 Courses
The Engineering Future Frontiers program offers an immersive introduction to university-level engineering through dynamic, hands-on projects inspired by Queen’s University’s first-year design challenges. Participants will explore diverse engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, computer, and mechatronics and develop essential skills in coding (block & C++), AI concepts, robotics, circuitry, prototyping, hardware integration, and 3D modeling. Emphasizing teamwork and problem-solving, this program provides a glimpse into the engineering design process, equipping future engineers with the creativity and technical expertise needed to tackle real-world challenges.
Engineering Disciplines Explored: Mechatronics and Robotics, Electrical and Computer
Session Dates: July 7th - July 11th, 2025 or July 28th - August 1st, 2025
The Engineering Innovative Solutions program offers students hands-on experience across multiple engineering disciplines including civil, mechanical, mining, and geological. Using the engineering design process, students will develop critical skills in problem-solving, technical proficiency, and teamwork. Participants will design, build, and test prototypes in engineering labs and facilities on Queen’s campus, learning from experts in their fields.
Engineering Disciplines Explored: Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Mining and Geological
Session Dates: July 14th - July 18th, 2025 or August 11th - 15th, 2025
The Engineering Reactions and Remedies program explores the connection between the sciences and engineering and how they overlap to develop solutions to real world problems. Focusing on chemical and biomedical engineering, participants will have the opportunity to participate in labs, create and test their own engineering designs, and hear from guest speakers who are working in these fields of innovative research.
Engineering Disciplines Explored: Chemical, Biomedical, Engineering Chemistry
Session Dates: July 21st - 25th, 2025
